Summary

Lady Frost is not talking like someone who plans to ease into Major League Wrestling. Just days after Lady Frost lands in MLW after AEW contract expiration, she said her focus is already on the top of the women's division.

Frost is scheduled to make her MLW debut at the promotion's Charleston event on Sunday, April 12. Rather than working her way up slowly, she said she is aiming directly at MLW Women's World Featherweight Champion Shotzi Blackheart.

Shotzi Blackheart Becomes Lady Frost's Early Target

Frost said the champion is the name that immediately stands out to her as she starts this new chapter. She also noted that she and Shotzi have shared independent locker rooms in the past, but have never wrestled each other.

That gives MLW an immediate high-end matchup to build toward if the promotion wants Frost positioned near the front of the featherweight picture right away.

Quote from Lady Frost

"I think there's a lot of women around the world. Hopefully that I get to travel more. I know that MLW has a working relationship with the girls from Japan. I know Shotzi is the champ right now. So obviously my target's huge. I don't want to start low. I'm going to right for the top, calling her out. We've never wrestled. We've been in independent locker rooms together actually years and years ago. So I think that will be interesting."

What This Means For MLW's Featherweight Division

MLW now has Lady Frost publicly calling for the champion before her first match, which immediately gives her debut extra stakes. If the promotion follows that direction, Frost could be treated less like a new signing getting settled in and more like an instant contender.

Her comments also put Shotzi Blackheart at the center of the story before the two have even met in the ring. That is a simple way to give Frost's arrival a clear purpose instead of presenting it as a routine roster addition.
