Summary

Leila Grey shared that she has undergone knee surgery and started the next phase of recovery.

Grey said the procedure took place the day before her update, that it went well, and that she was beginning therapy the following day.

She previously revealed in December that she suffered a torn ACL during her December 6 AEW Collision match against Mercedes Mone. In January, she said she still lacked full range of motion and needed additional prehab before surgery.

Leila Grey’s post-surgery timeline keeps Sky Team plans in a holding pattern

Grey moving from prehab to post-surgery rehab gives a clearer recovery checkpoint, and the immediate consequence is that her in-ring return remains paused while Sky Team continues without her in active competition.

With Zayda Steel now added to the group, the unit has a current on-screen adjustment while Grey works through the recovery path she described. Her latest status follows this earlier update on surgery progress.

Quote from Leila Grey

"Hey guys. I finally had my knee surgery yesterday. Everything went well. I’m home recovering and starting therapy tomorrow. Thank you all for the support during this time."

Leila Grey later went on to say:

"So today is January 19th and I had my consultation with a surgeon so it’s been over a month since my injury. I finally got to see the surgeon today, and unfortunately, the feedback that I got was I still do not have complete range of motion in my leg so I can’t fully extend it, still can’t fully bend my knee so, because of that, I have to do more prehab. At least another month of prehab, twice a week, and then after that, he said he should be able to operate so, it’s gonna be a long and lengthy journey to healing. But, I am staying positive, I am staying optimistic. Gonna do what I have to do and my plan is just to be better than even before I left. So, wish me luck guys. I will continue to update you guys on my recovery, what is going on. But, thank you guys for all of the lovely messages that you guys have been sending me. Really appreciate all the support and all the love, and I will catch you guys soon."
