Summary
AEW taped the April 25 episode of Collision on April 22 at Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon, and the lineup included a new challenge aimed at Double or Nothing along with two title matches.
The most notable development on the taping was FTR challenging Cope and Christian to an I Quit match for AEW Double or Nothing. The rest of the night featured a full slate of results, including an AEW Trios Championship defense and Jack Perry retaining the AEW National Championship.
This also continues a recent run of taped Collision episodes, following the Spring BreakThru spoiler set from the April 16 taping.
Results
FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) challenged Cope and Christian to an I Quit match for AEW Double or Nothing.
AEW Trios Champions Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O’Reilly defeated the Don Callis Family trio of Lance Archer, Hechicero, and Andrade El Idolo.
Sisters of Sin, Skye Blue and Thekla, defeated Persphone and Alex Windsor.
The Demand, Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, and Toa Liona, defeated Chris Jericho and The Hurt Syndicate team of Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin.
The Dogs, David Finlay and Clark Connors, teamed with The Death Riders, Daniel Garcia, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli, to defeat The Young Bucks and The Rascalz, Zachary Wentz, Myron Reed, and Dezmond Xavier.
Kris Statlander defeated Becca.
RUSH defeated Adam Priest.
AEW National Champion Jack Perry defeated El Clon.
What FTR's challenge means for Double or Nothing
FTR putting an I Quit challenge on the table gives Collision a direct line into the Double or Nothing card, and it immediately raises the stakes around Cope and Christian. With Jack Perry also leaving the taping still holding the AEW National Championship, the episode looks built less around one single spoiler result and more around pushing several AEW programs forward at once.
