Summary

AEW Collision on April 25 mixed title action with several clear pushes toward Double or Nothing. The Conglomeration retained the AEW Trios Championships, Kris Statlander picked up a singles win, and Jon Moxley continued the pressure on Will Ospreay in one of the show's biggest storyline developments.

The card also paid off some of the setup from when Playoff Palooza added the World Trios title match and a Chris Jericho six-man bout, while Chris Jericho teaming with Hurt Syndicate gave the episode one of its headline attractions.

Results

  • The Conglomeration, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong, and Orange Cassidy, defeated The Don Callis Family, Hechicero, Lance Archer, and Andrade El Idolo, to retain the AEW Trios Championships.
  • The Death Riders, Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, and Daniel Garcia, teamed with The Dogs, David Finlay and Clark Connors, to beat The Young Bucks and The Rascalz.
  • Kris Statlander defeated B3CCA.
  • RUSH defeated Adam Priest.
  • Skye Blue and Thekla defeated Persephone and Alex Windsor.

Outside the bell-to-bell results, FTR interrupted The Conglomeration backstage and later suggested that their Double or Nothing match against Cope and Christian Cage should become an I Quit match. Hikaru Shida, Statlander, Mina Shirakawa, and Harley Cameron also crossed paths backstage before Divine Dominion delivered a warning of their own.

Collision also included footage of Moxley confronting Ospreay after Dynamite. Moxley told Ospreay he could become "a weapon like pro wrestling has never seen" before leaving him with a chair and sending the cameraman away before Ospreay's decision was shown.

What AEW Collision set up next

The Conglomeration leaving Collision with the trios titles keeps that division moving while FTR's I Quit challenge sharpened the focus on Cope and Christian Cage heading into Double or Nothing. That gave the show a direct pay-per-view consequence instead of feeling like a stand-alone recap.

Moxley's scene with Ospreay also kept that story near the top of the promotion. With Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada speaking about their own Double or Nothing meeting on the same episode, AEW used Collision to add momentum to several major matches at once.
