Summary
NXT returned to the Performance Center on March 10 with a fallout episode built around the next steps after Vengeance Day. The show moved several stories at once, most notably Izzi Dame targeting Tatum Paxley and leaving the night with a Steel Cage title match set for next week.
Elsewhere, Tony D'Angelo made it clear he wants the NXT Championship, Birthright scored a notable tag win after tension inside the losing team, and the show closed with Ricky Saints and Ethan Page defeating Joe Hendry and Myles Borne in the main event.
Results
Sean Legacy and Eli Knight defeated Jasper Troy in a three-way match after Keanu Carver attacked Troy during the bout.
Birthright (Lexis King and Uriah Connors) defeated Tavion Heights and Charlie Dempsey.
Sol Ruca defeated Lainey Reid.
Wren Sinclair defeated Thea Hail in the WWE Women's Speed Championship number one contender's tournament final.
Ricky Saints and Ethan Page defeated Myles Borne and Joe Hendry.
Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame leave with the clearest next chapter
Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame were positioned as one of the night's biggest follow-up programs. Dame interrupted the opening segment, showed a video mocking Paxley's career, then attacked her and stood over the championship. Later in the show, the two brawled backstage, and Robert Stone announced that Paxley will defend the NXT Women's North American Title against Dame next week inside a Steel Cage.
That gave NXT an immediate title hook coming out of Vengeance Day, and it also made Paxley's reign feel more unstable in a hurry. Instead of a reset after the premium live event, the champion now heads straight into a stipulation match with Dame already pressing the issue.
Tony D'Angelo, Birthright and the tag division all picked up momentum
Tony D'Angelo declaring that he is coming for the NXT Title gave the show another clear direction beyond the women's title scene. In the ring, Birthright also gained ground when Lexis King and Uriah Connors beat Tavion Heights and Charlie Dempsey, with the aftermath pushing more strain onto Dempsey and Heights after Charlie Dempsey hit a suplex on his own partner.
NXT also added another tournament track before the night ended. Wren Sinclair secured the Women's Speed title shot, and Robert Stone later announced a tournament to determine new contenders for the NXT Tag Team Titles. Along with the Saints and Page main event win over Hendry and Borne, that gave the brand several concrete threads to carry into next week's show.
