Summary
AAA's April 11 episode from Mexico City closed with a title match, as WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta defended against Vikingo in the featured bout. The episode had already been built around that matchup in the week's preview of the April 11 show, and the broadcast also advanced the La Flammer and OG El Grande Americano stories.
Elsewhere on the card, La Flammer celebrated 974 days as AAA Reina de Reinas Champion and said she was on her way to 1,000 days with no challengers left. That did not last long, as La Catalina arrived, took out Las Toxicas and shoved Flammer's face into the cake.

La Flammer and OG El Grande Americano set the next issues in motion
La Flammer's in-ring celebration immediately turned into the next title direction when La Catalina interrupted her and stood tall at the end of the segment. Based on what aired, that confrontation puts the Reina de Reinas picture into clearer focus after Flammer's long reign was positioned as having run through the division.
The other obvious follow-up came after OG El Grande Americano beat Octagon Jr. Americano kept the angle going by attacking comedian Ojitos de Huevo and cornering Andrea Bazarte after she slapped him, only for El Grande Americano II to make the save. Their brawl continued into the crowd, where Americano II challenged OG Americano to a mask vs. mask match, giving AAA a direct stipulation to build around coming out of the episode.
