Summary
Rey Mysterio and Jacy Jayne were among the names discussed internally for Friday's SmackDown after WrestleMania, according to a new report tied to the April 24 show in Fort Worth, Texas.
The post-WrestleMania roster picture has already started to shift after Raw added Sol Ruca, Ethan Page and Joe Hendry, a move that updated WWE roster lists Raw, SmackDown and free agent names. SmackDown now appears to be part of that same conversation, with Mysterio and Jayne reportedly under consideration.
Where Rey Mysterio and Jacy Jayne stand
Mysterio last wrestled at WrestleMania 42, where he competed in a ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Jayne, meanwhile, recently came up short against Lola Vice in an NXT Women's Title rematch during NXT Revenge week one. She also continues to lead Fatal Influence alongside Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid.
What a SmackDown move could mean for Rey Mysterio and Jacy Jayne
If Mysterio lands on SmackDown, it would give the brand another established veteran name immediately after WrestleMania and strengthen its depth around the Intercontinental title scene. Jayne being discussed is notable for a different reason, as it would place another NXT act into the main roster reshuffle already underway this week.
At this stage, the key point is that both names were discussed, not that a move has been officially confirmed.
