Summary

Ruby Soho says her arrival at AEW All Out 2021 remains one of the high points of her career.

Speaking on the FusionHaa podcast, Soho looked back on the debut that followed her WWE release and a series of online teasers pointing to her new name. She said hearing fans in Chicago chant "Ruby Soho" before she even appeared still gives her chills.

Soho also said the reaction to her debut held its own on a night that also featured the AEW arrivals of Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole. Danielson's influence has come up elsewhere in AEW, including when Willow Nightingale shared how Bryan Danielson helped her after a match she regretted.

Quote from Ruby Soho

"My debut for AEW is one of the peaks of my career. Particularly because we had made these teasers online that showed what my new name was going to be, which is now one of my favorite parts of my character because of where it came from and who I got the blessing from. For those people to be chanting my new name before I even came out, I still get chills. That was so much work and effort. Our videos were so well-received and we were so grateful to the crowd that night. Chicago holds a big place in my heart. That moment, and all of the appearances and debuts that were made that night, mine still held up with the likes of Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole. Maybe not as loud, but it held up still. That meant a lot to me, for sure."

What AEW All Out 2021 still means for Ruby Soho

Ruby Soho framing that debut as one of the peaks of her career says a lot about how strongly that AEW All Out 2021 moment still defines her run. On a show remembered for multiple major debuts, she still sees her entrance and the crowd response as something that belonged in that same conversation.

The timing matters too. Soho has been away from AEW television since 2024 after welcoming a child with Angelo Parker, so a reflection like this brings attention back to one of the clearest signature moments of her AEW run.
