Summary

The Miz says his ongoing issue with Danhausen has even followed him home.

While speaking ahead of WWE Backlash, Miz said his daughter was not upset when he told her Danhausen had stolen her bike. Instead, he said she brushed it off because she finds Danhausen funny and would rather watch him wrestle.

That line builds on an earlier Miz story about his daughter laughing off Danhausen taking her bike as WWE keeps adding personal comedy to the feud before Backlash.

Quote from The Miz

Speaking on ESPN's Get Up, Miz said:

"Danhausen, you stole my daughter's bike that I bought her. It was her first bike. When I told her, 'Danhausen stole your bike sweetheart', you know what she told me? She said, 'That's okay dad, you'll buy me a new one. I like Danhausen, he makes me laugh.' Do you know what that's like? My daughter doesn't like watching me wrestle, she doesn't sit there and go, 'Oh my god, I can't wait to watch [my dad] wrestle.' She wants to watch Danhausen wrestle. So this Saturday at Backlash, there will be no curses. I am sick of you, you are done with WWE and I'm going to out and get rid of you with one Skull Crushing Finale. Pin, one, two, three, and throw him out of the WWE."

What The Miz And Danhausen Set Up For Backlash

The Miz used the story to give the Backlash match a little more edge, even with the feud leaning into comedy. His comments frame Danhausen as someone who has gotten under his skin in and out of the ring, which gives the tag match with Kit Wilson and Danhausen's mystery partner a clearer hook than a standard celebrity-style media appearance would have.

It also keeps attention on the still-unannounced partner on Danhausen's side. WWE now has both the mystery element and the Miz-Danhausen back-and-forth working together to sell that match heading into Saturday.
