Summary
WWE NXT drew 591,000 viewers on The CW for its April 21 episode. That was up from the 584,000 viewers the show posted on April 14.
The episode also improved in the key 18 to 49 demographic, rising from a 0.09 rating last week to a 0.10 this week. The April 21 broadcast was billed as week two of the Revenge special, and the audience increase followed the Revenge Week opener.
What The CW gain means for NXT
NXT did not make a huge jump, but the week-to-week increase gave the brand a bit of momentum during the second half of the Revenge special. Any rise in both total viewers and the demo is a positive sign for NXT, especially when the increase comes immediately after a themed episode that was already part of the same two-week presentation.
It also suggests the promoted matches and fallout from the first Revenge Week show were enough to keep at least some audience interest moving in the right direction. That does not signal a major breakout on its own, but it is a better trend line for NXT than another week-to-week drop.
Most-watched clips from Revenge Week Two
The most-viewed clip from the episode on YouTube was Sol Ruca vs. Zaria in a Last Woman Standing Match, which drew 282,000 views.
Tatum Paxley vs. Blake Monroe in a Casket Match was next with 108,000 views. Myles Borne vs. Dion Lennox for the North American Title followed with 67,000 views.
Two more clips rounded out the top five: Izzi Dame knocking out Lola Vice with 52,000 views, and Keanu Carver decimating Joe Hendry with 50,000 views.
