Summary
WWE NXT drew 641,000 viewers on The CW for its May 5 episode, up from the 541,000 viewers the show posted on April 28. The episode also delivered a 0.11 rating in the 18-49 demographic, improving on last week's 0.07.
The May 5 audience was NXT's largest since February 16. That came on a night when the show was also going head to head with both the NBA and NHL playoffs.
How NXT held up on Tuesday night
Despite the stronger audience and demo, the show still ranked second to last on network television for the night. Even so, the week-to-week jump stands out because it came against heavy sports competition.
For NXT, the increase suggests the brand found a better foothold than it had the previous week, even with playoff games pulling from the same prime-time audience.
