Summary
Arianna Grace will defend the TNA Knockouts World Title against Xia Brookside on the April 2 Thursday Night iMPACT. The match was made official in the aftermath of the Sacrifice special, where Grace retained the championship in a Triple Threat against Dani Luna and Léi Yǐng Lee.
Grace's title retention at Sacrifice came with outside help. Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo kept Lee on the outside long enough for Grace to cover Luna and take the pin. With that done, Grace's father Santino Marella, who serves as TNA co-Director of Authority, stepped forward and named Brookside (Lee's tag partner) as the next challenger. TNA's post-Sacrifice television taping took place on March 28.
What's Next for Grace and the Knockouts Title
Xia Brookside getting this shot carries some built-in logic. Lee was effectively frozen out of the Sacrifice finish by interference, and Brookside's partnership with Lee gives the challenge a clear emotional hook without needing to start from scratch. Grace is operating in TNA as an NXT-affiliated talent, and holding the Knockouts Title is the centerpiece of that run.
The April 2 iMPACT result will likely determine where TNA's Knockouts division points heading into its next major event.
