Summary

Original El Grande Americano picked up a singles win over Octagón Jr. during the April 11 AAA on FOX show, but the bigger development came later in the night. After a wild ringside fight and another pull-apart during the main event, El Grande Americano II grabbed the microphone and challenged him to a mask vs. mask match.

Ringside chaos spills into the main event

The segment started after Original El Grande Americano's match with Octagón Jr., when the broadcast shifted to ringside interviews with celebrities giving predictions for the WWE Intercontinental Championship main event between El Hijo del Vikingo and Penta.

A remark from comedian Alexis Arroyo, also known as Ojitos De Huevo, set off the next angle. Original El Grande Americano pulled Arroyo over the barricade and trapped him in an Ankle Lock before El Grande Americano II ran in to break it up.

That led to a brawl between the two Americanos around ringside, and the issue did not stay contained there. Both men later appeared again while Penta defended the WWE Intercontinental Title against Vikingo, continuing to fight near the stage area during the main event.

Winner

Original El Grande Americano defeated Octagón Jr. earlier in the show. The lasting angle from the night, however, was El Grande Americano II escalating the rivalry after the match and during the main event scene.

El Grande Americano II raises the stakes in AAA

El Grande Americano II turning this into a mask vs. mask challenge gives the feud a much sharper consequence than a standard singles rematch. In lucha libre terms, that stipulation immediately puts identity and pride at the center of the rivalry, not just bragging rights.

It also gives AAA a clear next hook if the promotion follows through on the challenge. With the two characters already brawling in multiple parts of the show, the angle now has a built-in stipulation strong enough to stand on its own.
