Summary
Mike Bailey says the split fire and ice gear he wore against Vikingo at Bound for Glory in Detroit is still his favorite look from his career.
Bailey brought part of that design back for the CMLL Grand Prix, but said he has not used it in AEW yet because he is still waiting for the right moment to unveil something similar again.
Quote from Mike Bailey
While speaking on his weekly vlog, Bailey said:
"My favorite set of gear that I have ever worn, which is a shame because I haven't worn it that much, but might be the split fire and ice gear that I wore... against Vikingo for Bound for Glory in Detroit, and I wore half of it at the CMLL Grand Prix, but it's so incredibly cool, and I haven't worn it yet in AEW, because I'm waiting for the right moment to get something like it made, which hasn't come yet, but there will be, and I would like to recreate something just like that year, not the same, but just as, you know, over the top, cool, and ridiculous."
Mike Bailey's AEW look still has room to evolve
Bailey tying his favorite gear to a match with Vikingo and a later appearance in CMLL gives fans a clear sense of which presentation still stands out to him most. Because he specifically said he is waiting for the right moment to wear a similar design in AEW, the comment also leaves the door open for that look to return when he feels the stage matches it.
