Summary
Speedball Mike Bailey has not backed off JetSpeed's title ambitions after Kevin Knight fell short against Darby Allin on AEW Dynamite. Bailey said the team is still aiming high in AEW, and he believes a world title run for one of them is a matter of time.
Knight challenged Darby Allin for the AEW World Championship on Wednesday's Dynamite and came up short, but Bailey made it clear the loss has not changed JetSpeed's long-term goals.
JetSpeed's next targets in AEW
Bailey framed the setback as part of a bigger climb for JetSpeed. He said the team still sees the AEW World Championship as a realistic destination, and if that does not happen right away, they will keep chasing other titles across the promotion.
That lines up with Bailey's recent comments that JetSpeed can thrive in any AEW role, whether that means staying in the tag mix or breaking into singles title contention.
Quote from Speedball Mike Bailey
Speaking on his weekly vlog, Bailey said:
"That's what we gotta keep doing. Give it everything 100% of the time, and, hey, didn't happen tonight, but it's going to. We know we've got the world championship in our sights. One of us is gonna get it sooner or later. If it doesn't happen soon, then it's going to be National Championship, International, Continental. All of them. Got to keep a close eye on Cope and FTR, Double or Nothing."
What Mike Bailey's comments mean for JetSpeed
Bailey putting the AEW World Championship and the National, International, and Continental titles on JetSpeed's list gives AEW a clear way to position both members beyond one loss. It also keeps Kevin Knight and Bailey tied to several parts of the card at once, especially with Bailey pointing toward Cope and FTR ahead of Double or Nothing.
