Summary
Taryn Terrell says her return to TNA at Sacrifice came with a wave of nerves and appreciation as she stepped back into a company that had been such a major part of her career.
Terrell returned at the end of last month when Mickie James and ODB brought in an old ally to fight The Elegance Brand. The sides are now set to meet in a six-woman tag match at Rebellion later this month.
Speaking about the moment, Terrell described the walk into the arena as a chance to relive a chapter she once considered one of the best times in her life. She also said one of the first things that stood out to her was how much the Knockouts locker room has grown compared to her earlier run.
That return is already carrying more storyline heat heading into Rebellion after Ash By Elegance questioned Terrell's standing as a TNA legend.
Quote from Taryn Terrell
Speaking on Medd In The Morning, Terrell said:
"For me personally, I had the most immense amount of butterflies, you know, because I felt like I got to step back in time and sort of relive. I mean, how how incredible is that? How many times do you look back and you’re like the best time of my life and then you get to relive it like that doesn’t happen? So every step I took as I walked from my car into the arena was a step that was filled with appreciation for that moment and taking it all in and looking and just sort of like, ‘wow, okay’. Like, you know, this never left my heart, but never really sure if I got to experience it again. So experiencing it again is just sort of like, I get to do it on a different level, you know, with just so much gratitude and not ever taking it for granted. So I walk back into the locker room and the first thing I notice is how many girls are there. When I was at TNA, a decade ago, I think we probably had half of the amount of women in the locker room. So I was just sort of looking around and I’m like, this looks like what, well, I mean, not that I’ve ever been inside the boys locker room, but what I imagine inside the boys locker room would look like, just because there’s so many females, and that was really cool to experience, and just to see that TNA is just, it’s just continuing to evolve and just be on the cutting edge of wrestling. So I was really excited to see that, but a lot of the girls were very kind."
What Terrell's Return Adds to TNA Rebellion
Terrell's comments give the Rebellion match a little more weight because TNA is not just bringing back a familiar name for one surprise appearance. The promotion is presenting her return as part of a larger veterans-versus-Elegance Brand story with Mickie James and ODB already tied directly into the feud.
Her remarks about the size of the current locker room also underline how different the company looks from her earlier run. That gives TNA a simple way to frame this comeback, as both a nostalgia play and a reminder of how much the Knockouts division has expanded.
