Summary

Will Ospreay wants to see Revolution Pro Wrestling become part of the Forbidden Door mix in the future.

Forbidden Door began in 2022 as a crossover event between AEW and NJPW, and the annual show has since widened its scope with CMLL and STARDOM involvement. Ospreay said he would like to see that expansion continue by bringing a European promotion into the picture as well.

Quote from Will Ospreay

"Well, at first it was about dream matches, and I think now it's shifted a little bit. It's a bigger look at the different cultures of pro-wrestling, be it Japanese, Mexican or the joshi style as well, which is different from Japanese men's wrestling. I'd love to see a European company like RevPro in there as well to really accentuate things."

RevPro And Forbidden Door

Ospreay also said he hopes to do something with United Empire at Forbidden Door 2026. The show is set for June 28.

RevPro has worked with AEW on multiple occasions in previous years, so Ospreay's comment was not entirely out of nowhere. What he is pointing to here is a broader version of Forbidden Door, one that keeps stretching beyond its original AEW vs. NJPW identity.

What RevPro Could Add To Forbidden Door

If RevPro were folded into Forbidden Door, it would give AEW and NJPW another partner that fits Ospreay's idea of showcasing different wrestling styles and scenes on the same card. It would also create a natural lane for United Empire-related matches or appearances, especially with Ospreay already looking toward that event.
